Henry Stover

   In the name of God Amen, I Henry Stover of Hopewell Township Bedford Co, 
PA being in perfect mind and understanding  do make this my  last will and 
testament.  Firstly, I assign my  Soul to God who gave it and my Body to be 
buried in a decent____ manner.  I desire that all my lawful debts be paid. 
I desire that my wife, Molly shall have for her own use and benefit, so 
much of my personal estate as she may think proper at her dis___. I do 
desire my wife, Molly to retain in her poporpion (?) my farm  during her 
life under her care for the purpose of raising and supporting my children 
until they youngest arrives at his lawful age. I desire after the decease 
of my wife Molly, my estate real and personal to be sold by my Executors 
to the best advantage and be divided equially  amongst my children, 
excepting my Daughter Mary, married to William Cook who shall have one 
Dollar and no more,  To my grandson John, Son of Henry Stover, deceased 
shall receive five Dollars, of the said sale,
I consitute and appoint John Piper Esquire and Evan Griffith Jr., both of 
Hopewell Township Bedford County to be my lawful Executors to do and perform 
all duties enjoined on them. By this my last Will and  Testament, Given 
under my hand and seal this thrty first day of December Anno Domini, 1824.

      Personally appeared before the subscriber Register  for the 
Probate of wills and granting Letter of Administration in and for said 
William Piper and Mary Young two of the subscribing witnesses to the above 
county, who being duly sworn do  depose and say that they were personally 
present and heard and saw the testator, Henry Stover, sign, Seal,  publish 
and declare the above and within instrument of writing as and for his last 
will and Testament that at the time therof the testator was of sound and 
deposing mind memory and understanding sounding to the best of their  
knowledge and beleif-and that they subscrbed their names there to  as 
witnesses in presence of the testator and at his request, and that the 
name Rebecca Young the to subscribed as a witness is the proper signature  
of the said Rebecca Young.
