James Pleasants Jr Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virgina,
To all to whom these presents shall come. Greeting. Know ye, that in
Conformity with a survey made on the thirtieth Day of Dec 1822, By
virtue of three Land Office Treasury warrants to wit 23 acres by No
4599 issued the 8th of December 1819 and 77 acres by No 7022 issued Feb
21st 1821 and 27 acres by No 7352 issued Dec 11th 1822, There is
granted bythe said Commonwealth unto Jacob Stover Sr a Certain Tract
or parcel of Land Containing One hundred and twenty Seven acres, Situate
in the County of Giles, on the Clear fork of Cole River above and below
the mouth of Fullens fork and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at
two Spruce pines on the opposite Side of the River, and below the mouth
of said fork and running thence down the River N13oW68 poles and crossing
the same to a white Oak and gum on the bank S69oE90 poles to a beech and
Sawerwood on the bank of Fullens fork and down it, S31oW22 po;es to two
Spruce pines and a birch at the mouth of said forks S55oE24 poles to
two Sugar Trees and an ask S15oE98 poles Crossing the River to a beech
and Sycamore Corner to a survey made in the name of Zachariah Scarbrough
