From - Carrol:The settlements Nehemiah was in Patrick Co at the time that county was formed in 1791 and for many years therafter. In 1809 he moved to Carroll near Wards Gap and bought 200 acres from Jacob Talbot on Pine Creek (Grayson-D.B.3-197). In 1816 he bought another 167 acres from Issac Forkner and the next year gave his son Robert 100 acres of the Talbot tract(Grayson, D.B. 3-355; D.B. 3-468) He died in August of 1820. leaving a will which names his children in the apparent sequence of their birth(Grayson, W.B. 1-193) His widow was Ann and the children were: Rebecca Daniel, Clara, Tempa, Nancy Daniel who married John Allen in 1815, Sally, Robert, Fanny, Drucilla and Nehemiah Jr.
