Born April 25, 1929, at Lockbridge in Summers County, he was the son of the late W.M. and Violet Brooks Daniels of Lester. Mr. Daniels was a disabled veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Nathan G. Daniels Jr.; an infant daughter, Nina Kaye Daniels; and a daughter, Donna S. Daniels.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Ada Lambert Daniels; a daughter, Joetta Cooper and her husband, James "Butch," of Coal City; two sons, Dennis M. Daniels and his wife, Dimple, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Nathan G. Daniels II and his wife, Crystal, of Shady Spring; two grandsons, David F. Daniels of Clarksville, Tenn., and Preston Daniels of Shady Spring; two granddaughters, Emily Daniels of Shady Spring and Vanessa Wilson and her husband, Scott, of Sophia; a great-grandson, Payne Daniels of Clarksville, Tenn.; and two sisters, Joan Sweeney and her husband, Lloyd, of Beckley and Hope Underwood of Shady Spring.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calfee Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. James Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery. Military honor guard, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4326, Sophia, will conduct graveside rites. Friends may call one hour before the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
