Daniels Rites Will Be Today
Constable-Elect Had Re- Signed Because of Con- tinued Ill Health
A serious illness of three weeks following several years of impeded* health resulted in the death at 2 o'clock yesterday morning of Hugh A. Daniels, 58, who was elected constable of Town district in the November election, and which position he resigned several weeks ago on account of continued ill health. Mr. Daniels died at his home in East Beckley.
Funeral services will be held today from the Mt. Tabor church. The Rev. J. W. Legg will officiate at the rites and interment will be in the Mt. Tabor cemetery. Calfee undertakers will be in charge.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his widow and nine children: Misses Orpha, Trixia, Eva Daniels of Huntington, Walter Daniels of Van, Witt, Ohio; Robert Daniels of Stotesbury; Ken, Kyle and James Daniels of Beckley.
Other surviving members of Mr. Daniel's family are a brother, Arch Daniels, of Trap Hill, and the following sisters, Mrs. Harriet Stover, Mrs. Roxie Basham, Mrs. Alice Stover and Mrs. Edna Nolan, all of Beckley, and Mrs. Mary Stover of Trap Hill.
