Purpose of Group
The Puerto
Rican/Hispanic Genealogical Society has as its purposes:
1)To provide a
forum for sharing information and research techniques;
2)To work to open the
availability of civil and church vital records;
3)To collect and
publish genealogical and historical research materials.

Resources, or Benefits Provided to Members
The Puerto
Rican/Hispanic Genealogical Society provides the Puerto Rican Genealogy
Toolkit, PRHGS Member Surname Research Directory, and a subscription to the
bimonthly Newsletter "El Coqui de Ayer" which is specifically
oriented to the Puerto Rican and Hispanic researcher.

Most meetings are
Open to the Public. There is no charge for guests or non-members.
Meetings are
normally held four times yearly at rotating locations. Please contact for
specific information.
