Both Joseph and Dorinda were born in southern Virginia and lived their adult lives in Franklin Co.. They raised a family of 13 children, with all but one surviving to adulthood. Several of their children remained in Franklin Co., but others migrated to the midwest (North Dakota, Illinois, Missouri) and the far west (Washington, California).

This site is organized into "Web Cards" and "Person Sheets"

Each Web Card contains basic information about a person and their spouse, parents and offspring. By clicking on various individuals, you will be taken to their Web Card. In this way, you can scroll through a particular family lineage. The "Home Card" button (above) will take you to the first person in this lineage. If you click on either "parent" in the Web Card, you will be taken to their Person Sheet. The Person sheet contains the same information as the Web Card, but in greater detail, including dates and references. From the Person Sheet, you can return to the Web Card by clicking on the Web Family Card at the bottom.
