According to the 1782 partial settlement of her father's estate, Barbara and her husband Jacob Ballmer were living in Maryland. However, an extensive search of the Maryland genealogical archives, including the 1790 and 1800 censuses, as well as the 1783 tax assesment lists, has failed to uncover Jacob.
