In a partial settlement of her late father's will, dated Nov. 8, 1782,
Elizabeth is identified as being married to Anthony Weitzel and residing
in Shenandoah Co., VA. A search of the US Federal Censuses for Virginia
failed to find an Anthony Weitzel in Shenandoah County, but an Anthony
Weitzel was found in Rockingham County, which is adjacent to Shenandoah
County. There are also several references to various Weitzel's in Augusta
County (adjacent to Rockingham Co.), including a 1799 marriage of Jane
Weitzel, the daughter of the late Anthony Weitzel. Additionally, in 1832,
Abraham Weisel gave a deposition concerning his service during the Revolutionary
War in which he states he was born in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania in 1760,
with a conformation from his brother Peter Weizel.
While I was unable to find any reference to Anthony's wife or to the
mother of Jane, Abraham or Peter, it does seem likely that these are members
of Elizabeth Flory's family.
