Isiah B. Foster –Dorithy M. ____ or Elosia

Isiah B. Foster was born 30 May 1803, Limerick, York Co., ME. He married first Dorithy M. ______ and second Elvina/Eloisa born 13 February 1807, Brekfield, ME. Isiah died 26 September 1879, Sherman (Mills), Aroostook, ME. Isiah B. Foster and his daughter Laura & husband Elbridge Gerry and son Edwin Foster came from Dover in the Spirng 1844 and settle on a farm of 200 ac ˝ mile above the villiage. He sold the farm of his son Francis before he died. He married Elosia/Elvina in 1853; she was born 13 February 1807, Brekfield/Breckford, ME.
The children of Isiah B. Foster and Dorithy M. ________:
1. Laura, born Jan 29, 1828, New Portland, Somerset Co., ME, married Elbridge Gerry before 1844, came to Sherman Mills, ME 1844. He was a Civil War veteran.
2. Edwin R., born 1830, died 8 September 1864, Andersonville (Civil War veteran), to Sherman Mills in 1844.
3. Francis M., born 18 August 1835, New Portland, Somerset Co., ME, married24 May1855 to Eunice Gallison, Sherman ME; all children dead by 1898 (Civil War veteran)
4. Albina, born 1839, ME.
5. Adelena, born 1841, ME.
6. Hellen, born 14 May 1844, Dover, Pisquatis Co, ME, she married Wesley EMERY.
7. Letter A., born 1849.

“#1749, ii. Isaiah B. (FOSTER), b. May 30, 1803. A dau. is Mrs. Albina Emery, Sherman Mills, Maine.”—Frederick Clifton Pierce’s Foster Genealogy, 1899, Chicago. Pierce gives Isaiah B., Benjamin, Ezekiel, Benjamin, Benjamin, Isaac, Reginald.

Robert Taylor of Danville ME, gives Isaiah B., Benjamin, Isiah (not Benjamin). This is in his limited edition of Vital Records of Limerick, Maine, 1989.

Further research needs to be done to find which is correct.
