7. David LEWIS1 was born in 1667 in Westerly, Washington Co., RI. He died on 6 Sep 1718. He was buried near Wyoming, Washington Co., RI. He died possibly on Sept 6, according to RANDALL LEWIS FAMILY, buried near Wyoming, RI, 1 mile from George Perry Card farm and Card family cemetery.

On Jan 15, 1701, he and wife Elizabeth deeded a tract of land to brother Israel. Nov 10, 1718, his will was offered for probate, but three witnesses declared that when signing he "was not right in his understanding." . On Dec 11, 1718, administration was granted to eldest son, Elisha, the widow having refused. Inventory amouted to 329 pounds, 15, shillings, 11 pence, sworn to by widow and son Elisha, viz., 4 beds, wearing apparetl, pewter, Bible and other books, 4 spinning wheels, 10 cows, bull, yoke of oxen, 9 two years, 14 yearlings, 8 calves, 2 horses, 3 mares, 11 colts, 6 swine, sow and pigs, 37 1/2 loads of oat and straw, 11 1/2 loads of barley and straw, etc.

Owned farm, two tracts, in the "Shannock Purchase" adjecent to brother Israel who owned land in the "Little Purchase" area. Land was purchased in between them by David Kenyon (note Kenyon and Card marriages with the Lewis familes.) See Lewisiana, Vol, 1, p. 116.

Elizabeth BABCOCK (daughter of James BABCOCK and Jane BROWN) died after 1718. David LEWIS and Elizabeth BABCOCK had the following children:
