Block 98, Lot 3, Sect 1st addition (There is some confusion as to where George's gravesite is for Sure, there was a flood in the 1930's or 40's and the part of the cemetery where George was buried got flooded. Where the water receded, his body was moved. He was originally buried in the Potter's field area. His grave remains unmarked to this day.) … burial complied with - by wife Mrs. Geo. M. Meeker. The burial cost $75.
Randy's note : Grandma (George's daughter, when asked hat it meant by : "burial complied with" ; she said that George's last wish was to NOT be buried in a cardboard box, as many of the poor were buried in. So his wife Anna made sure that he was buried in a hand-built wooden box.
