Bob's families arrived in Georgia in colonial days from England to Virginia and North Carolina and then to Georgia.

Beverly's families settled in Iowa by 1850, migrating from colonial New England, New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania by way of North and South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, and Canada; and later generations directly to Iowa from Germany and Ireland.
