Survivors are her husband, James Campbell; two sons, Criss of the home and David of Johnson City; three daughters, Mrs. Roxie Smith, Mrs. Mary Smith and Mrs. Mattie Oliver, all of route 1, Hampton; 24 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the home with the Rev. Clarence Nelson, the Rev. H. J. Campbell, the Rev. Clarence Snodgrass, and the Rev. Carl Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the Union Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the grandsons, and the flower bearers will be the granddaughters. The body was taken to the home today at 4 p.m. from the chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home.

James Harold Campbell, 79, 162 Smalling Rd., Watauga, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 after a brief illness at his residence with his family by his side.
He was a native of Amonate, Va., son of the late William D. "Dee" and Ida S. Sutherland Campbell.
Mr. Campbell and his family moved to the Range Community when he was a young child and he had been a resident ever since.
James was a veteran of WWII having served in the U. S. Army and was a brick mason who had retired due to disability.
He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and had been an avid hunter in his youth and earlier adulthood.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Campbell and a nephew, Bill J. Deaver.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Ida Berry Campbell of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Campbell and Patti Campbell, both of Watauga; a brother, John Campbell, Elizabethton; two sisters, Lotus Milam, Elizabethton, and Ilene Spaid, Gray; three grandchildren, Raymond James "Jamie" Saults, Anthony Harold Campbell and Jordan "Seth" Kiser; a special cousin, Jack Saylor; two special sisters-in-law, Letha Lyon and Georgia Berry; two special brothers-in-law, Kenneth Berry and wife, Beverly, of Carmichael, Calif., and Robert H. Berry, Watauga; a friend and helper, Michael Perrigan and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for Monday, July 5, 2004 in the South Chapel of the Morris Baker Funeral Home at 8 p.m. under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Jordan and Rev. Harold Mains. Solos will be performed by Anita Mains and Rick Sweeney. The family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. A burial service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 in the Monte Vista Memory Park at 2 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home to go in procession at 1:30 p.m. Active pallbearers will be: Raymond James "Jamie" Saults, Anthony Campbell, Raymond Saults, Tim Campbell, Randy Campbell, Johnny Campbell, Norman Peters and Dean Robinson.
