THOSE BURIED

Messner Cemetery. Located at 334 Pine Street in Reading, Pa.

We visited this site, which is in the back yard of a residence. The owners showed us the headstones they found. They said there use to be three but one dissapeared over the years.

The owners said they found the headstones in the corner by the house when they dug for a garden.

There is believed to be several burials down the enbankment and into the parking lot.

Barnet/Peter Cemetery is located in Maidencreek Township behind of Berks County Memorial Gardens Cemetery, approximately 1 block from Evansville Road. It's the left dirt road. The cemetery is on the left. I'd like to thank Jack from Temple, Pa.,who was at the cemetery today (12-26-99). He said a recent tornado did a lot of distruction to the trees but none to the cemetery itself.

It's hard to believe there are headstones under all these weeds.

In a corner by the steps, a pile of headstones are piled and broken.
