Whisler Mail List Information
The Whisler mail list has been established to allow subscribers to help in our individual endeavors to find our ancestors. Many of the Whisler, Whislor, Whistler, Wisler and Wissler surnames have been used interchangeably by clerks and our ancestors, so we've included all variant spellings as part of this group. We welcome all who are researching this surname to join in our interest.
To subscribe to the mail list, send an email with the word "subscribe" (without the quotations) in the subject area and again in the text area...but make sure that is the only word in the text. This list averages about 3 to 5 messages a week, but if you prefer to receive it in digest form, submit your subscription here to receive it that way instead. You should soon be receiving a welcome letter with further instructions and information. The best way to start is by telling us how you are related to Whislers and where your research is...in this way we may find others who are researching the same lines and be able to share information.
If you should encounter a change of email address you will need to unsubscribe from the list by your old address and then subscribe again with your new address. Sometimes there can be problems unsubscribing the old address, particularly if it's still active, so feel free to email the list admin for help. To unsubscribe you use the same process as you did when you subscribed, just using unsubscribe in subject and text areas.
