Obituary for Mrs. Clara Washburn

Mrs. Clara M. Washburn, who lived in Spring Valley for 68 years, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Bert E. [Marjorie Washburn] Armstrong at Rochester, Minnesota, where she has made her home the past six years.
Born in Stratford, New Hampshire November 28, 1858, she was eight years old when her parents brought her to Spring Valley.
Surviving besides Mrs. Armstrong is a sister, Mrs. Etta [Mahurin] Turner, of Madison, Wis.
Funeral services were at the Rochester Gospel Tabernacle Monday afternoon.

Charles De Voh Washburn was born at Brandon, Rutland County, Vermont, on December 10, 1854, and died at his home on October 20, 1933 at the ripe old age of 78 years, 10 months, and 10 days. In early childhood he came with his parents to Minnesota, where he has since resided.
He was married on March 14, 1888, to Clara M. Mason and to this union came three children, two of them preceding him in infancy.
He was aloving husband and Father. He was always active in church and Sunday School work, being superintendent for a great many years. Being an earnest Christian, he was loved and honored by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife one daughter, Miss Marjorie E., and a great host of relatives and friends.
