Sarah Jane Fisher Barger, widow of Simeon Barger, and her sons, Simeon, Isaac and John and her daughter, Rachel, moved to Lincoln County, North Carolina around 1800-1801. On 1 Jun 1801, she and Simeon and Isaac each bought over 100 acres of land from her brother, John Fisher. On 6 Apr 1820, she died at the age of 79 yrs, 7 mos. She is buried in the Original Barger Graveyard in Hickory, North Carolina.
