78. John7 Carr Jr (John, #156). Born 1716-1726 in Ireland (or 1708 in Pennsylvania, according to some undocumented sources). His name also appears as Kerr. Married Elizabeth Cross(?) (see #79) c1740 in Maryland. Died 10 January 1792 Uniontown, Georges Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. [ Leaves of Time web site, 3 May 2001.]

The "Pay Abstract for . . . privates of Col. Coxes Regiment of Militia of Jefferson County in Actual Service Burning Tar in the Mountains" includes the following:

     John Car, entered services 4 May 1782, discharged 11 May 1782, in service 8 days, paid £0 / 4 / 8 [Harding, George Rogers Clark and His Men, p. 123].

     NOTE: John Unseld, who was some sort of relation, appears on the same list.
