and died 30 June 1850 in Lawrence County, Tennessee. He was married to Tabitha
Bays (Marriage information given in application of Lucy Gilley Bundrant for
widow's pension, War of 1812). He later married Lucy Gilley 21 April 1816
in Henry County, Virginia.

Information furnished by Pension Application for War of 1812 showed marriage
date of 21 April 1816, married by James Ray, a Minister of the Gospel. John was
married earlier to Tabitha Bays, who died 22 April 1813.

shows service as Private, Capt. Ragsdale's Co., Va. Mil., enlisted Jan. 4, 1814,
Discharged Mch. 28, 1814, enlisted at Pittsylvania County, discharged at
Norfolk, VA. Drafted in Danville, VA as substitute for Thomas Stacy. Received
both land grants and pension.

John Bundrant (1782-1850) married Lucy Gilley (1797-1882) in Henry County,
Virginia on April 21, 1816. Their children are: William Junior b. 1818, Peter,
Bettie, Clayborn, Hardin, Nancy, and Daniel.
William Junior married Lucinda Gillie (1818-1904). William Junior and Lucinda
left Virginia. On the way to Texas, they stopped in Wayne County for the birth
of a baby. They settled in Wayne County. Their children: John, George, Dallas,
Peter, Charles, Hardin, Frank, Louise, and Martha. William fought in the Mexican
War. On his way home, he took sick in Pocahontas, Tennessee where he died and
was buried. Lucinda died in 1904 and is buried in the cemetery behind
Leatherwood Church. Charles Hardin (1855-1943) married Cova Lena McClain
(1850-1936). Both are buried in Greenwood Cemetery. Their children: Jesse Hardin
b. September 9, 1883, Shield, and Harris (goes on further with Jesse's
