Unverified notes on Robert Bean born 3 May 1764 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia - Robert Bean, born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia in 1764 was the son of John Been born About 1735.
Bible record was found in the U.S. Pension Office that prompted research by Jim Beene that establishes that Robert Bean born in Virginia in 1764 was the son of John Been.
He married Martha Womack. He died in Marion or Washington County, Tennessee (Both state and county boundary lines changed, sometimes several times before the current lines were drawn). The other Robert he was confused with, the son of William Bean, was born about 1748-1750 and died in 1793 in Hawkins County (once Grainger Co), Tennessee. Some say he was married to Rhoda Lane (Layne). Others say Rhoda Lane was the first wife of "our" Robert before he married Martha Womack. Most probably Rhoda Lane was the wife of the other Robert Bean, b 1764.
