To celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary we selected a 10 day cruise departing from and returning to Copenhagen, Denmark. We had stops in Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, and Germany (formerly East Germany).
We selected this part of the world because we had not been there before. This cruise more than met our expectations. Not only did we see the sights and places we expected but our Guides for the land tours were locals who spoke English very well and often shared what life was like under the Communists and Socialist governments -- and how happy they were to be feeling as if they are free. It was also interesting to talk with some of these Guides about what life was like during WW II.

— In conclusion
We were very glad to go and glad to return to the USA. It gave us a renewed understanding of Freedom and how lucky we are and have been in this country.
