Robert Frank Sanderson
Robert F. Sanderson, 80, of Loudon Road in Concord N.H., died January 3, 2005, at Harris Hill in Concord. He lived for a short time in South Berwick with members of his wife's family. He had also lived in Durham, N.H. while attending the University of New Hampshire.
He was the husband of Carol V. (Grant) Sanderson.
He was a veteran of World War II and Korea having served in the US Navy.
He graduated from UNH.
He was employed for 20 years by General Electric Company as an electrical enginéer. His other work included The Mitre Corporation, and ASEC in Bedford, Mass. as well as General Dynamics. While working in Massachusetts, he and his family lived in Chelmsford.
His membership in the Masons included the Union Kilwinning 4 in Charleston SC and the Aleppo Shrine in Wilmington, MA.
He was a gregarious person who loved to read, do crossword puzzles, travel and study genealogy.
Members of the family include his wife, Carol V. (Grant) Sanderson of Concord, NH; his son Arthur G. Sanderson and his wife Gail of East Greenbush, NY; a daughter Grace and her husband David Collins of Lyerly GA; and Marcia and her husband Peter Meitzler of Portland, ME. A sister, Mrs. Ruth (Sanderson) Rudisill of Hendersonville, NC also survives him. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph D. Sanderson, Roy E. Sanderson and a sister Abbie G. Sanderson.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home, 301 Main St., So. Berwick, Maine.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Hugh Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, South Berwick.
