THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GEORGE RUBEL
In the name of God, Amen; I George Rubel of the Township of Tewksbury in the County of Hunterdon and province of West Newjersey, Yeoman, being very sick and weak in Body, but of perfect Mind and Memory Thanks be given unto God, calling unto Mind the Mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die, Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament That is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named, nothing doubting but at the general Resurection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God. And as touching all such Worldly and Temporal Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this life, I give Devise and dispose of the Same in the following Manner & form First, I give and bequeath to my eldest Son Antony Rubel the Sum of thirty Shillings current money of Newjersey at eight Shillings per ___ besides his equal Share hereafter mentioned below and full Satisfaction of his Birthright. Item, I give and bequeath unto Marlena Schryner, daughter of John Schryner, the sum of fifteen Pounds Newjersey currency to be paid unto her by my Executors hereafter named when she shall arrive to the Age of eighteen years. Item, it is my Will and I do order That my Titled land mentioned in a Deed bearing Dates the first of September, Anno Domini 1760 containing four Hundred Acres, more or less, Shall be equally divided into three equal Parts and each part thereof delivered unto my three Sons hereinafter named; to wit, one Hundred and thirty three Acres and one third, more or less, unto Antony Rubel, and one Hundred and thirty three Acres and one third, more or less, unto John George Rubel, and one Hundred and thirty three Acres and one third, more or less, unto William Rubel, to the only proper use of them the sd Antony, John George, and William Rubel and their Heirs forever. Item, I give unto my beloved Wife- Anne Eve the sole Use Profit, Guidance, and Government of all the Residue and remaining part of all my moveable Estate of what kind or Quality soever it be, for the Discharge and Payment of my just Debts, the Maintenance of the Family, and her comfortable Livelihood during her natural Life and after her Death the then remaining Part of my Estate shall _______________________________________ Shall descend and become the Rightful Land of my three Sons above mentioned and it Shall be equally divided And ____ I do hereby ordain, constitute, and appoint my loving sons namely, Antony and John George Rubel to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament entreating of them to cause the Same to be punctually performed and kept in Fashion and the Survivor of whom I do hereby give full Power and Authority to execute this my last Will and Testament according to the Directions herein given and-- further to make, sign, Seal and deliver such legal Writings as Shall be thought necessary for the conforming of anything herein specified.
And I do hereby evoke and disannul all and every other ____Testaments, Wills, Legacies, Bequests and ___ by me in any Ways heretofore named, Willed and bequeathed and satisfying this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal the thirtieth Day of Septemer A.D. 1763.
Signed, Sealed Published and Declared by the Said George Rubel as his last Will and Testament in the presence us, whom the Presence of each other have hereunto Subscribed our Names} Georg Ribell(LS)
John Counce(sp?) and John Donnis two of the Witnesses to the within Will being duly Sworn did Severally depose that they Saw George Rible the Testator within named Sign Seal the Same and heard him Publish pronounce and Declare the abovesd within Instrument to be his last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof the said Testator was of Sound Disposing mind and memory as far as these Deponents know and as they verily Believe and that Wm Schuiler the other Subscribing Witness was present Signed his name as a witness to the said Will together with these Deponents within the presence of the Testator--

George Ribell Anthony Ribel Exrs in the within Testament and being duly sworn did Depose that the within Instrument Contains the True Last Will and Testament of Gorge Ribel the Testator therein named so far as they know and as they only Believe and that they will Well and Truly perform the Same by paying first the Debts of the said Deceased and then the Legacies in the said Testament specified so far as the Goods Chattles Produce of the said Deceased Can thereunto Extend And that these Will make & Exhibit unto the Surrogate office at Burlington a True and perfect Inventory of all & Singular the Goods Chattles & produce of the said Decd that have or shall Come to their knowledge or possession or to the possession of any other person or persons for their use and Render a Just and True acct when Thereunto Lawfully Required--
