Jacob Brewster Deed from Joseph Carver Rec’d Sept 6th 1786 & Recorded County Recorders Book 7 – page 295 Teste John Hale Reg.

 

To all People to whom these presents shall come greeting know ye that Joseph Carver of Bolton in the County of Tolland and State of Conecticut in america for and in the consideration of the sum of thirty six pounds ten shillings lawfull money received to my full satisfaction of Jacob Brewster of Coventry in the County and state aforesaid do give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Jacob Brewster his heirs and assigns forever one certain peace of land lying in Coventry containing about six acres and three quarters and is buted and bordered as followeth (viz) beginning at a stake and stones the northwest corner of Dan Loomis land he purchased of John Carver thence out west in the line of Samuel Longs land forty two rods to Samuel Porters northeast corner of a peace of land said Porter purchased of Gideon Porter thence ___ south in said Porters line about twenty six rods thence east a parallel line with said lott forty two rods to Dan Loomis land thence north in said Loomises line about twenty six rods to the first mentioned bounds to have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances these of unto the said Jacob Brewster his heirs and assigns forever to this and their own proper use and behold and the said Joseph Carver do for my self my heirs executors administrators covenant with the said Jacob Brewster his hers and assigns that at and untill the ensealing of these presents I am will seized of these premises as a good and indefeasible estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written and that the same is free from all encumbrances whatsoever and furthermore as the said Joseph Carver do by these presents bind my self and any heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises unto him the said Jacob Brewster and to his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 4th day of September 1786
