Charlina Ellis are as follows: I. Howard Francis, born September 22, 1862, in Hartford. He was married January 12, 1886, in the Church of the Redeemer, Hartford, by Rev. W. H. Dearborn, to
Katherine Augusta Belcher, daughter of Charles Belcher and Katherine Slater, who was born in New York city, June 16, 1866. Mr. Boardman was educated in the schools of Hartford, graduating from the High School in 1880. He is associated with his father in business and is treasurer of the Company. He is a member of the Connecticut Society of the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America, and the Hartford City Guard Veteran Association.

Mehitable Belcher, daughter of Captain William and Desire (Morgan) Belcher, born at Preston, Conn., May 22, 1753; died at Griswold, Conn., November 13, 1825. He died at Griswold, August 16, 1841, and he and his wife were buried there.

Dec 20, 1770 in: Preston, New London, CTSimon Brewster erected a house at Griswold in 1770, which he and his wife, Mehitable Belcher occupied soon after their marriage and where they lived until their decease. The house is still standing and in good condition.
Deacon Jonah Brewster (Jonathan6, Jonathan5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, Jonathan2, William1), married first, February 16, 1794 (Preston, Conn., Sec. Chh. Rec.), Mehitable Brewster, daughter of Simon Brewster and Mehitable Belcher , born at Griswold, Conn., March 7, 1772; died at Worthington, Mass., August 28 or 31, 1806;
married second, at Preston, March 15, 180--, Betsey Belcher, who died June 6, 1862, aged 86 years. He died at Worthington, September 1, 1852, and he and his wife Mehitable were buried there.
They lived at Worthington. Jonah Brewster was an extensive land owner. He was deacon of the church at Worthington and held various town and county offices. A portrait of Captain Elisha Brewster also refers to Deacon Jonah Brewster.

The Gilbert Family of Coneticut
In March 1657-58 a lsit of persons for troopers presented to the court of conneticut under the command of Major john Mason were, in Harford, Mr. Willis, Mr. Lord, Mr. Thomas Wells, Jacob Wigatt, Jonathan Gilbert and 9 others.
Jonathan Gilbert was pursuing his privat matters, had temporarily rsided in Westfiled , a land grant mentions Jon and John Gilbert at Wornoco Westfield. Dec 10 1658.
In November 1659, Mr Gilbert was appointed to compel the payment from the Farmington Indians of atha nnual sum which was due for the two years, the full summe of eighty faddome of wampum, well strung and merchantable. In April, Mr John Allyn and Jonathan Gilbert were commssione to bound out to Tantoninus, the Sachem of the Potuncks the land which he held, remaining unsold to the English, and about whiche he and Uncas, teh chiefs of their tribes had quarrelled.
In 1661 the corut granted, jonathan gilbert a farm to number 300 acres of upland and 50 acres of meadow provided.
After this , Jonathan Gilbert for several years was elected to the office of 'marshall" and was on occasion a representative to the legislature, but his chief attention was to improve his estate and care for his family.
His wife was of remarkable prudence and energy which contributed in a great degree to his success. He died on the 10th Dec 1682 age 64. and his wife died july 3 1700 and they are buried side by side in the Ancient Hartford burial ground.
