        Child of Light

Christmas is the feast of the light, through the Christ Child of Bethlehem the light once more shines.

He offers new hope for the future.
In the beginning the True Light was there.
The Light burns brightly in the darkness and it can never be extinquished.
This shining beacon was brought down to earth through a woman. With this Light, God had a purpose for it.
Announced by the prophets of old, The Messiah is born, in the darkness of the night, the Christ Child becomes a word and message of hope.
This child, The Light of the world, came into a world darkened by sinful isolation from God.
He gives hope to a fallen world.
He gives hope to lost souls that stumble under a bondage of human failings.

Those who cry to God are awakened by this Child of Light. This child spread the message of God's great love for His creation.
A bright witness of eternal love given to mankind through this small infant born in a manger to seemingly unimportant parents in Bethlehem.
This light, that he was, became a well of life springing forth upon a dry ground of starving spirits.
It pierces the darkest corners of our hearts even today.

This Child of Light is still misunderstood by people today,
who cannot comprehend the Light that shines in darkness.
Those who love this light have blessings forever through the Son of God.

          Child of Light

          Gaylynne Ramey Wells

To all of you, our family and friends,
Our gift to you This Christmas Season
is a gift of words of a child that was born
one holy night, early one morn.
To save the world, he came
he came in darkness to become a great light.
a peace was felt by all who heard his name.
He was born in Bethlehem on a still quiet night.

We wish you the walk as a child of light,
          We wish you the joy
          of the saving power
that was brought into the world
          through that little boy,
his godhead shone through those little eyes
a light that shone ever so bright
the doors were opened to paradise.

When you come together, no matter how far or near,
Shed a little hope into the world of sorrow and fear.
Keep in mind the reason for the day
It's not the Christmas glitter nor opening up of gifts
but our gift of love to others in every way.
The light could shine all the year round, if we would only try
We could smile and shed happiness each and every day.

The greatest gift of all was given to us.
He lights the great depths of the human heart
and answers the cry of the spirit of man.
As we celebrate the season in this great land
Let us be awakened by this Child of Light
That was sent from God on that holy night.
