Both are supposed to have married Martha Johnston

It is possible there were two Martha Johnstons and 2 John Belchers married them but they both cannot be Ishams son so if anyone has any definite proof of which is his son please let us know.

This indenture made the first day of August in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred ant hirty nine between James Belcher adn Nancy Belcher, his wife and Jesse Belcher and Sarah Belcher, his wife, and Joseph Belcher and Ruth Belcher, his wife and Berry Belcher adn mary Belcher his wife, heirs of John Belcher Sr. late of Orange Coutny Deceased. Each of county of Orange and state of Indiana of the one part and John Belcher Jr of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said James Belcher and Jesse Belcher and Joseph Belcher and Berry Belcher for and in consideration of the sum of eighty eight dollars and eighty eight cents to them in hand paid by said John Belocher in the receipt where of they do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and doth by these present grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said John Belcher Jr his heirs and assigns foever their part of a certain taract or parcel of land..........in the county of Orange.....................
