Thanksgiving Day will soon be here
It gives us a time each year to remember
and give thanks to our ancestors
for they endured much hardship and pain
giving their life sometimes, for our freedom
and for their families and this country to sustain.
Very much like water in a lake,
they serve as mirrors to the sky.
Studying our history and remembering them
we know the reason why.
They were the bravest of the brave
they came upon the sea, from afar
to worship and in freedom to live
No one alone can bring about such change
together they fought side by side in every war
to keep us a land of the free and home of the brave.
