"Belcher Blues Newsletter" November

On a Personal Notes:
" O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth forever.
Psa. 118:1."

The heinous attack on September 11, 2001 has awaken the slumbering hearts of our nation. As Thanksgiving approaches, we as united citizens of America should be so more thankful for the freedom that the Lord God has given to each and everyone of us. The unprovoked murder of our people has caused us to realize that the freedom we have is now under a devilish attack. We must never relent in our love of our country and and the freedom to live as we choose, not as others would terrify us into living. We are thankful that there is a great love in our hearts for our country. The Belcher family forefathers have served in its military down through its many wars. George Belcher served in the American Continental Army during the American Revolution. He served through the harsh winter at Valley Forge. Even now the pride of what he did for us makes me so thankful. That he did what he felt was right, that we may live free today. To worship God as we see fit, and not having someone looking over our shoulder. We should always be thankful for God's mercies and protection of America. Thanksgiving serves to remind us, when we sometimes forget to just say
"Thank you, O Heavenly Father, for blessing us with the light of thy countenance. For you have caused your face to shine upon America. That all the world may know that there is a God in America.
Amen."
Greg

Our country has always been precious to both of us and we are patriots, as many genealogist are.
Greg and I have shown our red white and blue patriotism from the start of our genealogy and our newsletters. Some people are just now finding their colors. Among the most patriotic people in the United States are genealogists. We are proud of our heritage and see what our forefathers went through to gain our freedom and what we have. We must continue to support The United States and be aware that it may take a long time. Our support and our strength will be needed.
In this month of Thanksgiving let us be THANKFUL that
WE ARE AMERICANS.

There is no other country like OURS in the world and no better people.
This Webpage below is several tributes to America.

BELCHER BLUES NEWSLETTER
Massaschusetts and the special Thanksgiving Issue

Welcome to the November issue of the "Belcher Blues".
This months issue includes recipes from family members for Thanksgiving and Christmas also Massaschusetts and early American Genealogy research. Many Belchers were in America in the early years, and the ones on the webpages are certainly not all. We will add information to the state pages as research is done. Texas will be our focus for December. Virginia and Kentucky will be quite large so they will be started in January, starting with Virginia First.

This has been a very trying and worrying month for us all, not too many people have been researching genealogy this month, so not very many inquiries were sent. It is quite understandable it took us a while to get back into normal activities.
So this issue is mainly Massaschusetts Belcher Genealogy Research, interesting articles, and Thanksgiving pages.
December is a special month to christians and some special pages will be added.
If you would like to send a comment or tribute to America or Christmas or to your family please send them by November 25th

but in everything,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
