Great Britain is many of our ancestors Mother Country.
England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales make up the area as we often just call Great Britain, although this is not correct in this thinking. They are separate. These records will include all this area of research.
Each surname has its own particular county and some in the same county.
We will post surnames related to our ancestry that show up in each county in the right time frame. So each Counties postings may have different surnames posted.
Records in different counties will be added each month as we research
and will include other surnames.
All records cannot be added, I wish that we could add them all but we can use only the ones relating to our area of research and dates. Ancestry.com is a pay database and they allow only the use of the data in your particular area to be used. Not the whole database.
If you have a surname, county, or date you wish looked up after 1700 please let us know.
send an email with the subject: Lookup.
These databases do not include all the research in those areas so if the name is not found, it doesnt mean it is not there elsewhere.
'Far away-oh far away-
We seek a world o'er the ocean spray!
We seek a land across the sea,
Where bread is plenty and men are free,
The sails are set, the breezes swell-
England, our country, farewell! farewell!

Ancestry.com has many many parish records and other books to search and information but it is a pay database for most of its records, the index pages can be searched freely but the main information is mostly a pay area. Sometimes they do have a week of free use so check on it once in a while.
