          Herein Is Love

Herein is love. The Love of the Eternal Creator for his people.

Upon the cross, all hope and Grace was given freely to all who would accept. From his humble birth in a manger in Bethlehem to Golgotha hill we trace every step in pefect love for us.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever beliveth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Can we comprehend so wonderful a gift from our Heavenly Father? As sinful humans, we sometimes fail to see how God loves us. He brought the light of eternal life to all through the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus. He chose of the poor of this world, not the rich. He placed his son in a lowly manger among animals, yet the priceless gift was the young child, whom the wise men from the east fell down and worshipped before. Mary and Joseph must surely have wondered at this display. The birth of their son was extaordinary. An angel brought news of the birth of the saviour to shepherds outside of Bethlehem and they soon spread the good news throughout the town. We can only imagine the people who gathered near the place where Jesus laid, hoping to get a glimpse of so remarkable a child.
          Herein is love. God's love.

He brought forth so great a plan of salvation. He knew there was no intercessor for us. That the law of sacrifices he issued to the people of Israel was not as it should have been. Because the blood of animals could not wash away the sins of his creation. Because for every sacrifice it always reminded God of our failings. He knew that a perfect offering was needed. Jesus would be the the eternal light of hope to us. He calls all of us to him. No better friend or saviour can we find. He lived and walked among us as one of us. Who could find so good and faithful a friend? Not among mortal men, but in the Son of God. Gods Precious Gift.

          Herein is love. Gods love.
