Served for 10-20 days. 695 men were in unit. Many enlisted in SW VA units. On Broadfoot and muster roll of box 382, extraction 4, and record 2763. On Russell Co.. Census, age 41, Lebanon Township. Born Aug. 23, 1819, son of John Belcher and Mary Monk. His son John T. in the same unit. No record he served in another unit other than the other militia. I believe the A. is probably an H. Muster roll has record for 1st and 2nd, but not the 3 CSA or 6th State Guard. For 1st GA, muster roll is box 226, extraction 5 and record 81. For 2nd GA Cav., box 226, extraction 5 and record 80. CWSR has only entries for 1st and 2nd GA Simeon Littleton ( 10/10/1834 to 12/18/1910) is buried at Oak Cemetery GA. (Don’t know where the cemetery is located. Grave has a CSA marker. Wives were Janie Connell and Louisa. Buried next to him is Abner Philip Belcher, but have no CW or family connection noted.
