1. John Henry Belcher was born 13 April 1862 in Wyoming Co., WV1, and died 01 May 1927 in Kanawha Co., WV. He was the son of Ali "Coon" Belcher and Lucinda Baker/Mullins. John was an Electrical Engineer and lived in Cedar Grove West Virginia. During the summer He taught students from Cayne School of Training. John Henry Belcher was described small of stature with red hair.
He married (1) Melinda King3 01 August 1883 in Clay Co., WV, daughter of George King and Rebecca. She died August 1890.
He married (2) Sarah A. Elswick 15 September 1891 in Kanawha Co., WV, daughter of Harry Elswick. She was born 14 September 1857 in Kentucky, and died 09 February 1923 in Bownemont, West Virginia. After the death of Sarah,
John married (3) and unknown, much younger woman. John and his third wife owned a grocery store near one of the bridges that crossed the Kanawha River at Charleston, WV.

Lucinda Belcher was born Abt. 1884. She married John Edwards 05 June 1901 in Kelly's Creek ,Kanawha Co., WV. He was born Abt. 1881.
