XENIA, OHIO
GREENE COUNTY
Wm. SPELLMAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Champion SPELLMAN who reside on North West
Street, passed away last night about 11:30 o'clock after an illness of about two
weeks of typhoid fever.
The death of the young man is a great sorrow to his parents and other friends
and will be heard with sadness by many associates. He was a genial companion and
liked by all. Being only 18 yrs. of age, his death seems a very sad one.
Will had been employed for some time as a clerk in OSTERLE'S Restaurant, and was
taken bedfast last Tuesday. His disease from the first was a severe type and not
being very robust he quickly succumbed to the destroyer. He was born and raised
in this city, and after leaving school, was employed for a time at the shoe
factory, but was forced to quit on account of not being strong enough to stand
the work. Besides his parents he leaves 3 brothers and 4 sisters. The funeral
will occur tomorrow afternoon at 3:oclock from the house.
