THE BELLBROOK MOON
WEDNESDAY - AUGUST 15, 1894
BELLBROOK, OHIO
SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP
Lydia TATE, widow of the late Robert TATE, died at her home in Bellbrook
August 9, 1894 of brights disease. Deceased was born in the vicinity of Medway,
Clark County, Ohio August 13, 1840 and lacked four days of being 54 years of
age. She was married to Robert TATE May 3,1876 who died March 30, 1893. She
leaves two children, Clarence aged 17 and Laura aged 16 years. Mrs Tate's
sufferings were intense, which she bore with patience and resignation. The charm
of the home is gone and the children have lost their most valued legacy, but
they have the consoling assurance that her spirit is at rest beyond the skies,
where joy and peace abide forever. She was a noble Christian, a kind neighbor,
and a devoted mother. Her funeral was preached from the house last Saturday by
Rev. WILEY of the U.P. church after which her body was laid to rest in the
Bellbrook Cemetery.
