Friends and relatives of the late Charles Harner, pioneer Greene Countian, thronged the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rosa Clark in Old Town, when his funeral services were held Sunday afternoon.

The Rev. Ernest N. Evans, pastor of the First Reformed Church, this city, of which Mr. Harner was a member  many years, Conducted the services and he gave a beautiful funeral discourse. Paying a tribute to the long, earnest, useful Christian life of the decedent. A quartette from the church choir sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,"  "Rock of Ages," and "Some Sweet Day." Beautiful flowers, symbolic of the love and respect of many friends covered the casket.

The body was laid to test in Woodland Cemetery. The pall bearers were: The sons, Martin, David J., and James G., and a son-in-law Mahlon Sieber.
