DIES FOLLOWING
LONG ILLNESS
Funeral Services Are Thursday At 2 P. M. For Long Time Resident Here
George W. Slusher, 79, died at his home just southwest of Jamestown on the New
Jasper Pike, Tuesday at 2 P. M. He had been ill for several months and had
been bedfast for the past eight weeks.
The son of George W. and Susan Judy Slusher, he was born in Pendleton County, West Virginia, March 4, 1863. He had resided in this community for the past 25 years and operated a greenhouse at his farm, near Jamestown.
He was a member of the New Jasper Methodist Church.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary A. Leveck Slusher, to whom
he was married November 28, 1894, and three sons, L. Earl and Paul M., of
Columbus and U. Stanley, of southwest of Jamestown; and seven grandchildren
including Wil-
ard Slusher who has been reared in his grandparents home.
He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Glass, of East of Jamestown; and Mrs. Lester Dodd, of Washington C. H.
Funeral services will be held at the late home, Thursday, at 2 P.M. in charge of Rev. Carl Hicks, pastor of the New Jasper, Methodist Church. Interment will be made in Silvercreek Cemetery, in charge of Stewart, Burr & Powers.
