DONALD LEROY EDWARDS
Donald Leroy Edwards, 13, of Cedarville, died in Mercy Hospital, Hamilton,
Saturday at 8:45 P.M. two hours after He was accidentally shot while he and two
companions were playing with an "unloaded" revolver in Hamilton.
Coroner Harry F. Duebel of Butler County, declared the shooting accidental and
said that Marvin King, 14, son of Patrolman Grant King had taken the revolver
from His home in his parents absence. The boys, with Harold Boone, 15,
were examining it when it was accidentally discharged.
The youth, who attended Cedarville Public School, was spending the summer with
His father, Fred Edwards, in Hamilton.
Besides His father, he leaves his brother, Wilbur Edwards, His mother, Aulta
Kaiser of Cedarville, and three sisters Gladys and Edith Edwards and Rebecca
Kaiser of Cedarville.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home of the mother in Cedarville.
Burial will be at Tarbox Cemetery.
