Rest comes to Mrs. Anna M. Pressinger
An aged resident of Xenia passed
away at her home on West Main Street.
Mrs. Anna M. Pressinger died at her home on West Main Street on Saturday
afternoon about 3:30 o'clock. She had been sick for quite a while and death was
due to infirmities and weakness of old age. She was an old resident of Xenia and
many friends will learn of her death with deep regret.
The deceased was the widow of Edward Pressinger who died some years ago. Before marriage, she was Anna M. Melvin. She was born in Dublin, Ireland February 20, 1829 and would have been 75 years of age in Feb. She was married to Edward Pressinger at Buffalo N.Y. on Dec. 15, 1852. Nine children were born as a result of this union. Five children survive as follows, Mary, the wife of Wm. Shoemaker, and Margaret, the wife of Charles Weber, both of Xenia. Kate, the wife of George Sawyer of Muncie Indiana, John, of Davenport, Iowa, and Edward, who with Miss Florence Weber, a granddaughter, resided at home.
The funeral services will be held at St. Brigid's Church at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning and burial will be at the Catholic Cemetery.
