Obituary from unknown newspaper - Baker Co. Florida - Nov 1928 Death of Andrew J. Green The many friends of this old and loyal citizen of Baker county will regreat to learn of his death which occured at his home near Sanderson Thursday about 12 o'clock. It is thought that paralysis of the breathing organs was the cause of his death. Mr. Green was 67 years of age, most of which was spent in Baker county. He leaves to mourn his passing besides his widow, eleven children, six girls, Mrs. O. J. Davis, Wauchula; Mrs. E. S. Richardson, Glen St. Mary; Mrs. E. C. Alford, Baldwin; Mrs. C. A. Stafford, Jacksonville; Mrs. D. M. Stafford, Sanderson; Miss Gressie Green, Sanderson; five boys, J. M. Green, Wauchula; A. E. Green, Macclenny; W. M. Green, Tampa; P. E. Green, Sanderson; G. R. Green, Sanderson; and one brother, C. J. Green, Wauchula; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Hill of Jacksonville, and Miss Emily Roberts of Sanderson, and thirty-four grand-children. He was laid to rest in the Boyd cemetery, near Sanderson, Friday evening about 3 p.m., with the Rev. Crews preaching the interment. There was a very large floral offering. One of the beautiful wreaths was given by Chief of Police Abel J. Roberts of Jacksonville, a relative of the deceased. The staff of this paper, along with his many friends, extend their heartfelt sympathy to the heartbroken wife and children during this great period of bereavement.
