Did you find a Cencus with her siblings listed or did you go by "Word of Mouth" that this is so. That is all I have to go on and the fact they lived (mostly) in the same area with each other. My grandmother's family always said that Major Grant was related to the Grants buried at Green's Chapel. No proof, just their say-so. When my Grandmother died we found a large portrait of an Indian woman in her attic. She had always said that her father's mother was a Cherokee Indian, so we thought that must be her portrait of her. So far I have found that her name might be Elizabeth Virginia, or Virginia Elizabeth Coon or Coons. I was also told that it was not uncommon for Indian Women to Anglicize their names and that she was a widow when she married James Beverly's father, so Coon or Coons may be her first married name.
