This indenture made the twenty eighth day of June in the Year of our Lord Jesus Christ one thousand seven hundred and fifty one between John Bonner Jr of the Parish of Martins Brandon in the county of Prince George of the one part, and his son John Bonner of the parish of Albemarle in the county of Surry of the other part witnesseth that the said John Bonner Jr do will for the natural love and affection which he hath and bares to his son John Bonner has for in consideration of the sum of five schillings current money of Virginia to him on hand by John Bonner as and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said John Bonner Jr doth hereby acknowledge and for diverse other good causes and considerations him thereunto hath given granted bargained sold Alley released enfolded a confirmed by these presents the said John Bonner Jr for himself and his heirs forever unto his son John Bonner, and to his heirs and assignees forever one tract or parcel land situate lying and being on the south side of Sappony Creek and the parish of Albemarle and County of Surry aforesaid containing two hundred acres and bounded as follows: to wit beginning at lithwood post then running south 49 degrees east 150 pole to a black oak sapling thence north 79 degrees east 101 pole to a white wood post thence south 3 degrees west 56 pole to a pine thence south 25 degrees west 72 pole to a turkey oak thence south 80 degrees west 170 pole to a red oak thence north 17 degrees and west 150 pole to a pine corner tree of John Gillams land and then to Gillams' line north 18 degrees 94 pole to the beginning together with all house buildings orchards, wades, waters, and appurtenances to the said 200 acres of land belong or in anywise appertaining the estate right title interest property claim and demand of whatsoever John Bonner Jr of in and to the same in every or any part thereof and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders thereof and of every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the said hereby granted bargained and sold houses land and premises their and every of their appurtenances until the said John Bonner son of the John Bonner Jr his heirs land assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said John Bonner and his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Bonner Jr Doth covenant for himself and his heirs to defend his son, John Bonner and his heirs and assigns all the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances assigns all persons whatsoever in witness whereof the said John Bonner Jr hath hereunto set his hand and seal today and year first above written.
