RUTH MARY NISSEN, 73 of Port St. Lucie, FL died Sunday, December 14, 2003 at Shands Teaching Hospital, Gainesville, FL after a brief illness.

She was born July 20, 1930 in Dublin. GA and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past 3 years coming from Henderson, NC where she had lived for 6 years. Previously she had been a long time resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, Fort Pierce, FL and had been the Church secretary with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years Carl Nissen,; Sons Gene Adams of Sebastian, FL, Ken Adams of Port St. Lucie, FL, David Sanders of Hendersonville, NC, Chuck Sanders of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jim Sanders of Miami, FL; daughters Candy Chyzy of Reddick, FL and Wendy Wyers of Wendell, NC; brother Finn Frederick of Sebring, FL and sister Joan Williams of Hendersonville, NC; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Friends may visit Friday, December 19, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-08 at the Aycock Funeral Home, Ft. Pierce, FL. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel Fort Pierce, FL.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
