CHESTER P. WILKES --1897
Mr. Wilkes was born in Johnson County in 1877, was
educated at Baylor University, and in 1897 was in charge of the cash
department of The mercantile business of William Maxwell at Hamilton. He
was later married to Miss Lennie Hearne, a niece of John L. Spurlin.
