 LEESVILLE

In 1897 LEESVILLE was between Hamilton and Shive and northwest of Union School. It was about seven miles southwest of Hamilton west of US281. The Leesville School and the Little Cow House School merged into the Union School and the name of Leesville was changed to Union.  This community went by the name of Union in 1938.

In 1923 the First Presbyterian Church in Hamilton organized a worship circle at Leesville (Union.)
