Descendants of Ellis Gabriel Adcock

Generation No. 1

1. ELLIS GABRIEL

Notes for ELLIS GABRIEL ADCOCK:

Ellis, Grandpa Ellis, was the only grandpa any of us really knew. He was good to all of us, and in his quiet voice he made us all welcome. He was so good to our Grandma, and they were wonderful mates, friends, and companions until they both died in the Hico Nursing Home. They could have been with any of her children, but they wanted to be together surrounded with the people they had always known in Hico. We Loved him. (Mary Anne Bullard Reed April 2001)

Notes for MYRTLE TRANTHAM:

(Mary Anne Bullard Reed April 2001)

I can't leave this page with only birth, death and place of burial. This was my Grandmother. She could hug like no one else in this world. She seems most happy when all her "babies" were home and there were pallets from wall to wall. We staked out our spot early to be where we wouldn't be stepped on. She led a simple life with few of the niceties of life. She never spoke ill of anyone, and absolutely never spread family gossip. She spoke only of the good things that were going on in each of our lives . I didn't know how to appreciate her until she was gone and I had some maturity. I wish I could sit and talk with her, and eat cornbread and beans in her wonderful kitchen.
