ARRANT FAMILY GATHERS - 1980

On Sunday, October 5, 109 descendants and friends of the late Sarah Hughes and Daniel Gray Arrant family met at the Hico Community Center for their annual reunion. "Memories Are Made of This" was the theme for decorations and door prizes.
 
Alta Mae Arrant Swelling won the door prize for traveling the longest distance. Other door prizes were won by Quinn Beal, William Fergason, Beverly Beal, Dale Eugene Sanford, Dana Richerson, Barbara Arrant, Christopher Gray, Greg Clark, and Scott Arrant. During the day special recognition was given the birthday of Susie (Ethel) Richerson and the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McClintock.
 
Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gray Arrant, Carlen Arrant and Lucia, Amy Pickens, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Curtis, Celeste and Cherie of Abilene; Mr. and Mrs. Henry McClintock of Granbury; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Beal Jr., Quinn, Janet, Vicki, James, benjamin, and Beverly of Garland; Mrs. Hallie Smethers of Odessa; Jean Clark Dragoo of Austin; Mr. and Mrs. Don Branscum and Joe D. Arrant of Duncanville.
 
From Fort Worth were Ruby Lampman, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Richerson and Dana, Lisa Arrant and Trey, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Arrant, Jack Lampman, Rowan Richerson, Susie T. Richerson, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Fergason and William, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Needham and Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Clark, Tammy and Greg, Nancy Starnes and Jon, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Kuntz and Bryan, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Roberson, Kristi and Keri, Ione Roberson, Ricky, Robin, and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Clark Jr. and Phillip Kuntz.

From out of state were Chris Filson, Shreveport, La.; Christopher Gray of Greer, S.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Doug Arrant, Chris and Jennifer of Tulsa, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Talley of Highland, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. george Robert Swilling of Lynnwood, Wash.; and Beverly Fisk of Spokane, Wash.
 
Those from the Hico area were Mr. and Mrs. ted Arrand, Mr. and mrs. O.J. Clark Sr., Mr. and mrs. Jack Shepherd, Melba Clark, Decie Bradfute, and Virgie Needham.
