Gaskins Old Home Place Cemetery, near Alapaha, Berrien County, Georgia

 

    This Gaskins cemetery is located in Berrien County, on the former property of William Gaskins, son of Fisher Gaskins.  The cemetery is located on County Road 364 in Berrien County, Georgia.  Take Georgia 76 East, from Nashville, approximately nine miles.  Turn left onto County Road 364, and travel about four miles.  The cemetery is located on the left side of the road, easily visible from the road.

Two monuments stand "in memory" of Jordan Gaskins, who was born November 12, 1840, died July 10, 1862.  According to Civil War records, Jordan Gaskins died in Savannah on July 5, 1862.
