I have created this web site so that I might share my WALTZ research
with my family members and also in the hopes of reaching
some new WALTZ's on the web that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.

My research is far from complete on this family, and I welcome any

I would like to acknowledge all the
helpful folks on the web lists and message boards, but especially: Shawn Clark
(who supplied me with my first Waltz breakthrough); the late John Waltz (who
connected me with my long-lost Waltz ancestors); Elizabeth Crans (who
shared her extensive Waltz research with me); Marlene Fanton (who shared
her research and the portraits of Michael J. & Elizabeth, and hooked me up with
Alfaretta Maxwell); and my newest acquaintance, Alfaretta Maxwell (who
through her stories and pictures, has given me a wonderfully
clear picture of the life our ancestors led). I have enjoyed getting to
know all my new-found Waltz cousins and appreciate their willingness to share
their family history with me. I look forward to our future collaboration
on this project--thank you all.
